Tea break revives Baker bowlers

MAY & BAKER Bowls Club defeated Poplar in an East Ham and District League match.

Poplar started brightly and won all three opening rinks with a 16-shot advantage.

However, after the tea interval, M&B's fortunes changed and they won the next two rinks and drew the third to claim victory by 69 shots to 53.

Harry Woolward reached the final of the East Ham and District champion of cha-mpions final.
