Brentwood band hits right note for church funds
15 July 2010
What better way to spend a warm summer evening than enjoying a picnic and listening to the sounds of big band music.
Sound good? Yes it will be, as Brentwood Brass launches into its summer concert season with a fund raising evening of Brass on the Grass in Kelvedon Hatch, near Brentwood.
The popular band will be filling the air in the beautiful setting of the Rectory of St Nicholas's Church, on Saturday July 24.
With a full programme of exciting music from the big band era, the versatile group of musicians will also be touching the hearts of audience members with such hauntingly beautiful classics as Duke Ellington's Satin Doll, the window rattling Post Horn Gallop just in case anyone has nodded off, and a tribute to the music of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Read extensive coverage in this week's POST.
